Writing my book, “Is Your Child’s World Emotionally Safe?” was quite an adventure. It took me many months and many edits.  It provided me with a time to reflect back on this journey of attempting to provide emotional safety for myself. I felt it was important to tell my story. Especially for those who came across my children’s program, “The Voices of CJ”. Their understanding of my motivation and urgency for young children to be exposed to its content was tantamount. For creating a new method of teaching social and emotional learning has met many challenges within a framework of institutional structures.
Therefore I felt giving it a personal demonstration of its powerful dynamics would enhance its acceptance with educational professionals, parents of young children and early childhood learning institutions. Telling the story of my son, Darren, provided a parenting experience especially those who have children with disabilities or work with this population. All those who choose to read my book will have the opportunity to decide if their child’s world is emotionally safe.
Is Your Child’s World Emotionally Safe?
Answering this question is difficult. Outside forces come into play each and every day. Technology now also plays into the formula. Parenting today is a daunting challenge. Teaching has new challenges also. Many early childhood professionals now are asking for help with children who they perceive to have challenging behaviors. We are living in a world when our children are exposed to so much more than in the past. We all think that providing love, support and nurturing is the answer to a “happy childhood”. But the misnomer in this belief is that you have no control over your child’s emotional safety when you are not present both physically or psychologically. Thus teaching your child to manage his own emotional well-being is the gift that keeps on giving.
I have made it easy and fun to making EQ the center of your young child’s world. Being emotionally safe within, permits the success one needs to reach their fullest potential. Therefore, it can not be said too many times. EQ raises IQ and is 80% the reason we are successful in life. Hopefully, reading my story will motivate you to ask this very important question and perhaps bring CJ and the Voices of CJ program into your homes and classrooms.
My Greatest Wish Is For All Children To Feel Emotionally Safe Within!
